Pancham in Pokemon Go.

How to Get Pancham in Pokémon Go

Distract your opponents with a Panda Pokémon to defeat them!

On May 11, Pancham first became obtainable in Pokémon Go as a part of the Luminous Legends X event. This Panda-like Pokémon will be only accessible in specific ways, and unfortunately cannot be caught in the wild yet. Below, we've explained every method of getting one of the cutest Pokémon in the game!

Raids

From May 11 to May 17 at 8pm, Pancham is available in Tier 1 Raids. Tier 1 Raids are the easiest raids to win, and can usually be done with a couple of high-level Pokémon, even if they're not ideal counters. Once you defeat Pancham in a raid, you will be given a chance to catch him using special Pokéballs that are only available after defeating Team Rocket members and winning raids.

Even though Tier 1 raids are usually on the easier side, it's always best to use the appropriate counters to win. Pancham is a Fighting-type Pokémon, so your best option is to use your strongest Fairy, Flying, and Psychic Pokémon.

Strange Eggs

Shortly after Pancham stops appearing in raids on May 17, they will start hatching from Strange Eggs on May 18 at 10am until May 24 at 8pm. Strange Eggs are special eggs that can only be obtained from defeating Team Rocket leaders (Cliff, Arlo, Sierra, and Giovanni). Unfortunately, not all Strange Eggs contain a Pancham, so you may have to do this multiple times until you're lucky enough to land one. Pancham will only hatch from Tier 4 Strange Eggs, which require you to walk 12km to hatch them.

As of now, those are the only two ways to get Pancham in Pokémon Go. We expect this to change once the Luminous Legends events are over, but there is no word yet on when/if Pancham will show up in the wild. Be sure to check our Pokémon Go homepage for updates!
