How to complete the light cart puzzle in Chapter 11 in A Plague Tale Requiem

To complete this light cart puzzle in Chapter 11 in Plague Tale: Requiem is pretty complicated. It takes a lot of patience. One vital aspect is easily missable, which may take a while to locate. It's essential to utilize your Ignifer Slings to your advantage, so you'll need plenty of ingredients and will want to take this puzzle one step at a time.

Step One

When you enter the large sanctum, you will notice a circular carving or vent on the ground, connected to branching rails and tracks that carts can roll across. You will first want to ignite this circular vent with your slingshot using your Ignifer. This will start a fire in the circle, ignite all the surrounding carts, and protect you as the Rats begin filing in.

Step Two

Beside the now ignited circular vent is a small pillar with grappling hooks. You can use those grappling hooks with your crossbow to latch onto the carts in the distance. You will need to shoot the grappling hook at each cart and pull them as close as possible to yourself and the center platform. These carts have braziers on them that will create an area of protection around each one so you are safe from the Rats and can move around the sanctum. Once you pull the third cart, on the far right, over to you, you will want to walk over and grab the ingredients from the chest that was previously blocked.

Step Three

Each cart has handles around every side, allowing you to push or pull them down the rails in the direction you want. You will want to go to the middle cart, second from the left, and begin pushing it as far as you can down the rail until it gets stuck. You will see the first cart on your left a little closer now. Then use your Tar Sling to increase the power of the fire by shooting it into the brazier and scare off any of the rats between the two carts. This will allow you to cross over to the first cart, push it further down the rail and grab the chest of ingredients beside it.

Step Four

You will now use this first cart to navigate your way along the rails and get closer to the bridge on the other side of the sanctum. Begin pulling the cart backward until you get to the junction in the track. Then, move to the proper handle and push it down the rail to the right. This should lead you all the way to the center of the sanctum, where you should be able to see a wrecked cart.

Step Five

At this point, it might get a bit confusing, as there seems to be no way to move forward. However, if you look closely at the wrecked cart in the distance, there is a shiny surface hidden just behind it. You will need to equip your Ignifer Sling and shoot at the shiny target to cause an explosion clearing up the blockage on the track. You will now be able to return to the center platform, grab the third cart, and navigate down the rails, using the junction, until you reach the bridge. You are now able to cross the bridge and exit the sanctum.

These puzzles may take some time to figure out, so be as patient and observant as possible. Sometimes hidden details will keep you from progressing, but once you figure them out, you can overcome the obstacles and confidently continue your journey through the story.
