How to complete the Grace drawing puzzle in Alone in the Dark

You can only complete the Grace drawing puzzle in Alone in the Dark during Edward's playthrough. Emily has a different puzzle that she has to solve instead. To start this puzzle, you first have to find the treasure map.

When you unlock the safe in the reception room, you will finally get access to Dr. Gray's office. On the cabinet next to the desk, you'll find a France key for the globe in the sitting room and a treasure map drawn by Grace. Check out how to solve the MacCarfey treasure map below.

The treasure is found in MacCarfey's room, but the hallway to his room is locked, so you have to find that key first. Go up to the Sitting room, where you'll encounter the man himself. After he falls to the floor, you'll find the 1st Floor Hall key.

Now, you can climb down and unlock the hallway. The Dark Man will appear, but he can't do anything to you here. Just ignore him (or shoot him like I did) and head to the first room on your left. In the right corner of the room, you'll find a vent where the treasure is hidden, but you have to open it first.

Don't worry about this too much now, as you can't do anything about it until you progress further with the story. Your goal now is to get to the Empty Room where you can find the key item to open the ventilation. Before you can unlock that room, you'll first have to solve the X-ray plates puzzle in the Medical section of the manor and complete the Steamboat memory sequence.

When you've done both, you can go back to the Empty room, and it will be unlocked. Inside the room is a safe that you need to open. When you peel the wallpaper, you'll see a hint about the safe combination. Go to your inventory and find Edward's P.I. card. The last three numbers are the password, so 692. Make sure to spin the dial to the left on the first number.

Apart from papers, you will find a Picayune, an old coin in the perfect shape to unscrew the vent. Inside it, you'll find the missing drawing, which means that now you can go to Grace's room to complete the puzzle. When you climb the Gallery, you'll keep getting attacked by flying monsters, so you need to break down the door to the Sitting room quickly. If you don't have a melee weapon already, there should be one near the Astronomical clock.

In Grace's room, you'll need to rotate and match all of her drawings to the rot on the floor. You can check out the exact solution in the image above, so you don't have to waste too much time figuring it out.
