Being able to access your home storage anywhere on your Animal Crossing: New Horizons island is super convenient, and it’s a Storage Shed that makes that possible. Placing down a Storage Shed will allow you to deposit or withdraw from your home storage wherever the shed is placed. But how do you get your hands on one? There are a couple of ways to do it.
Building a Wooden Storage Shed
In order to make a Wooden Storage Shed, you will first need to purchase a Wooden Storage Shed DIY Recipe from Nook Stop for 6,000 Nook Miles. This is available under the Redeem Nook Miles menu. Like other DIY Recipes, this purchase is received immediately. Once you have the recipe, you can go to any workbench and craft a shed with the following resources.
Wooden Storage Shed DIY Recipe
- 30 wood
- 30 hardwood
- 30 softwood
- 10 iron nugget

Buying a Storage Shed
If you would prefer a bigger shed, rather than the little wooden one, don’t want to use up so many resources, or even if you want more than one type of shed, there is another option. You can buy a Storage Shed (different from the Wooden Storage Shed) at the Nook Stop for the same price as the DIY Recipe, 6,000 Nook Miles.
This purchase, however, unlike the recipe, arrives to you by mail. This means it will not arrive on your island until the day after you purchase it.
