Apex Legends Stories from the Outlands trailer drops a Lifeline buff Easter Egg

This might just be what Lifeline needs!

Respawn Entertainment recently issued a Stories from the Outlands trailer for Apex Legends, and fans were quick to spot an Easter Egg that directly points to a Lifeline buff arriving next Season. The video features a scenario where Ajay Che, a.k.a. Lifeline, uses her DOC drone to shock a hostile character. Another instance features the DOC drone being used as a turbocharger to speed up a vehicle.

While fans are excited to see all these new functionalities from Lifeline's DOC drone, players cannot help but wonder if this is the buff everyone was waiting for. In fact, after the introduction of Newcastle, Lifeline's pick rate declined, as there was a better healer in the Apex games. Earlier, Lifeline could throw down a defensive shield while reviving teammates. Community experts and fans have been asking for a Lifeline buff ever since the medic lost her protective shield.

Will Lifeline get a buff in Apex Legends Season 14?

The trailer features Lifeline and Octane infiltrating Silva Industries to get medicine for the injured allies of the Frontier Corps. They eventually end up being surrounded by armed forces, which is where Ajay Che uses her DOC drone to take down a few soldiers. While this buff looked great in the video, there may be a few mechanical adjustments to make it function better in-game.

Although there is no confirmation whether this will become an in-game mechanic, fans are hoping that some changes are made to Lifeline’s kit by next the Season. The idea of being able to charge vehicles to drive quicker only adds more mobility options in a fast-paced game like Apex Legends. The Stories from the Outlands trailer also features Octane from long before he had mechanical legs. Players were excited to see the character's face without a mask, and some are hopeful that it will become a cosmetic option in the upcoming Seasons!
