Heirloom Store renamed to Mythics Store in Apex Legends Season 12: Defiance

Widening the scope.

For as long as Heirlooms have been available for purchase, they have been located in the Heirloom Store tab for 150 Heirloom Shards each. While the price isn’t changing, the name of the store is. In Apex Legends Season 12: Defiance, the Heirloom Store has been renamed the Mythics store. Now, Heirloom Melee Weapons, or Heirlooms for short, are still called such, but the reason for the store changing its name is most likely to widen the category.

The term Mythic will presumably include both Heirloom cosmetics and the new Prestige cosmetics introduced via an evolving Bloodhound skin. Prestige skins are not in the game just yet but have been teased to appear for the first time in the 3rd Anniversary Collection Event on Feb. 15.

Whether or not Prestige skins will also cost 150 Heirloom Shards or some other amount remains to be seen, but the Prestige skin is likely to enter the updated Mythics Store on March 1. Though do note there is no guarantee that it will.
