Using the Replicator in Apex Legends allows players to craft various in-game items with Crafting Materials they gather from around the map in Battle Royale. Most will use the Replicator to create daily or weekly gear and add-ons or upgrade their Evo Armor. However, players can also use the Replicator to craft ammo. This can be useful when you are low, or out of ammo, or are otherwise in a pinch. Here is how it works.
First, you can’t choose the type of ammo that you craft. It is instead locked to the weapons you are currently holding. This means if you are not holding a weapon, you will not be able to craft ammo. If you are holding one weapon, you can craft ammo of that weapon type. If you are holding two weapons, you can craft ammo of both weapon types. If you have two weapons of the same ammo type, you will only receive that type of ammo.
Crafting Costs
Weapons Carried | Crafting Metal Cost |
0 | N/A |
1 | 10 |
2 | 20 |

As of the Raiders Collection Event patch in Season 11 of Apex Legends, Ammo is always received in stacks, which will take up one inventory slot. This is changed from when previously rarer ammo types, such as arrows, yielded extra to the player upon crafting, but that is no longer the case.
The only two ways to get more than a single stack of the same ammo is to hold two weapons that take the same ammo type when you craft or if you craft ammo multiple times.
Ammo per 10 Crafting Materials
Ammo Type | Ammo Crafted |
Light | 60 |
Heavy | 60 |
Energy | 60 |
Shotgun | 16 |
Sniper | 24 |
Arrows | 32 |
If you have multiple weapons but only want to craft one weapon type, you can throw your other weapon on the ground temporarily, but be wary that any attachments it has will pop off.
