What is the Predator Cap in Apex Legends? – How to check

What is the Predator Cap?

The Predator Rank in Apex Legends is the highest ranking a player can get for both Battle Royale and Arenas. There can only be 750 Predator-ranked players each on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms, which makes it an extremely prestigious and difficult goal to reach.

Ladder Points are used to determine ranking in Apex Legends, and since Predator represents only the top 750 players on each platform, the LP requirement to reach the highly-coveted rank is constantly changing throughout the seasons. In order to reach Predator status, players must surpass the LP score of the 750th player in Predator to get the ranking; the number of LP required to reach Predator is called The Predator Cap. This all begs the question: how can you check what score you must reach?

How to check the Predator Cap in Apex Legends

To check the Battle Royale Predator Cap in Apex Legends, you can visit the Apex Legends Status Predator Cap page to check how many points are needed to reach the ranking. The Predator Cap is updated every single day at 1pm UTC time. This can be very helpful to check because often, the cap raises more than 1,000 points each day, making it difficult to track.

With the ranking system changes introduced in Season 17, players can earn much more LP—even at higher ranks (due to lowered entry costs and the value of placement in matches). At the start of Season 17, all ranks were reset, but players quickly racked up tons of LP to claim their Predator status. The rankings and Predator Cap are constantly changing, so if you have a chance to make it to Predator, check the cap as much as possible to see how much LP you will need.
