To get an S rank on a mission in Aragami 2, you will need to achieve high stats during missions and perform well.
Completing missions in a short amount of time will also help towards getting an S rank. However, time is just one of the crucial things you need to keep an eye on
Along with a low mission completion time, you will need to make sure guards do not detect you. The reason why is that if you remain hidden and have low detections, your chances of getting S rank will go up, especially if you hide all bodies of enemies you kill or knock out.
Hiding bodies will prevent patrols from discovering them, and if they get found, it will add towards a negative stat when you complete the mission.
Because of this, you will want to utilize the element of stealth a lot during your missions while also trying to complete the objectives quickly as possible.
Use both cover and shadow leap to quickly progress through missions and try to complete missions at least once or twice beforehand to get a lay of the land. Once you are familiar with a mission, you can speed run to complete the objectives.
Getting familiar with missions can also let you learn alternative paths that are quicker to objectives and learn where guards are, where they patrol, etc.
