There is a huge shadow cast on Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora by the films that explore how far visual fidelity can go. Creative director Magnus Jansén, met with IGN and confirmed that the dedication to realistic graphics came at the cost of not making the game for PS4 and Xbox One.
Is Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora coming to PS4 or Xbox One?
No, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is not coming to PS4 or Xbox One. The studio's plans for the game were not compatible with last-gen consoles. The studio, Massive Entertainment, has big hopes of conveying the world as realistically as possible, and they could not achieve that kind of dedication to realism on a PS4 or Xbox One.

Why isn't Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora coming to PS4 or Xbox One?
Jansén pointed out that the PS5 and Xbox Series X gave developers a lot more of a chance to make sure the game looked realistic, from the shadows to the fidelity of objects. The developer wanted ray tracing to go as far as kilometers away so that the player could see a beautiful world from high in the air.
According to Jansén, the newer consoles allow the team to do more of what they want. Additionally, he mentioned that the hard drives of the last-gen consoles lacked the capabilities of the new hard drives. According to him, the PS5 SSD worked better at controlling the information going through and creating the formulaic world.
In today's digital age, releasing for PS4 or Xbox One is no longer considered a necessity.
