With any new game launch, players should expect some minor hiccups and issues. The same can be said for betas, and an issue in the Battlefield 2042 beta has been identified. Luckily this is what betas are for, and hopefully, DICE will resolve this issue in the full release.
But for now, you are probably wondering how to fix Battlefield 2042 being stuck on the main screen. The issue is that pressing the A/X button or the Y/Triangle button has no effect. To fix this, try restarting your console. Then try restarting your controller, switching controllers, or plugging up your controller and bypassing Bluetooth altogether.
Most players are finding that his solution takes care of the problem. Additionally, make sure no other Bluetooth device is connected. Do the same for any device connected via USB. EA is aware of this issue and has acknowledged that they are working on a solution.
This issue seems to be exclusive to Xbox and PlayStation for the moment, so PC players can relax in regards to this issue. For now, console players should try the above steps for a temporary solution. Should the issue come to PC, those users should also try this solution.
