Here are the controls for Pinging in BF 2042.

The Ping or CommoRose feature is included with Battlefield 2042, just like every other game in the franchise. It is an extremely helpful and crucial mechanic by which you can instruct, inform, and interact with your team without using voice chat. Here's how you can Ping enemies and change the Ping control in the game.

You can Ping enemies by double pressing the ping button in Battlefield 2042. The default Ping input is "Q" on keyboard and "RB" (Right Bumper) on controller. Pressing the Ping button once marks a location that you and your squad can see.

Furthermore, pressing and holding the Ping input brings up the CommoRose, which lets you select from the following interaction options:

  • Thank You
  • Need Pickup
  • Need Spotting
  • Request Order
  • Need Ammo
  • Need Healing
  • Need Backup
  • Call-Ins Available

How to change Ping button in Battlefield 2042

You can also change the Ping button to your preference via the game's settings:

  • Select "Options" from the in-game lobby. It's located at the bottom-left corner of the home screen.
  • Head over to the "On Foot" column in the "Key Bindings" setting.
  • Scroll down until you find the "Ping / CommoRose (Hold)" option.
  • You can now change the default to your desired keybind, mouse button, or controller button, depending on your input device.
