To complete the challenge, you must complete the following objectives in any order:
- Be Born a female in Illinois
- Become a painter
- Insult 5+ different people
- Recover from an alcohol addiction
- Troll 5+ people on social media after they've trolled you

How to be born a female in Illinois
The first objective of the Tortured Artist challenge is to be born a female in Illinois. While creating your character, select a female as the starting gender and Chicago as your birth city. Since Chicago is a city in Illinois, you will indirectly fill in the criteria. Hit the Start Life button to finish the first objective and start the challenge.
How to become a Painter
The next task is to become a Painter. The bare requirement for the role is to clear high school. So, study decently throughout high school and obtain the diploma at 18. Immediately, go to the Jobs section and look for a post titled - Apprentice Painter or Junior Painter. Upon finding one, apply for it and get the job by answering a simple question related to painting. That's it! You have become a Painter in BitLife.
If you cannot find such a job, close the application or age up to find a new set of Job vacancies in the market.
How to Insult 5+ different people
The next quest requires you to insult more than five people during your lifetime. The best targets are your office colleagues. Click on the Co-Workers tab from the Jobs section and select some colleagues. Press the Insult button to make a lousy remark or cuss at them. Repeat the procedure on five different people to finish the task.
How to recover from an alcohol addiction
The penultimate task in the challenge is to recover from an alcohol addiction. Firstly, you have to get an alcohol addiction. Click the Night Life option under the Activities tab to go clubbing. While clubbing, you will be offered drinks from strangers or anonymous people from the club. Accept such drinks two to three times to develop an alcohol addiction.
Now, the next step is to remove this addiction. Press the Rehab button in the Activities tab and join a Rehab Center. Keep visiting the Rehab Center until you get rid of your addiction.
How to Troll 5+ people on social media after they've trolled you
The last objective in the Tortured Artist challenge is to troll five people after they have trolled you in the first place. To do this, you have to join a social media platform. Go to the Social Media section under the Activities tab and join any platform like Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok. Start posting selfie pictures, motivational quotes, or political posts.
While continuously making such posts, one or another random person on the internet will troll your post. Use the Troll Back option to roast them back. Troll five such people to complete the objective.
