Could more details about Breath of the Wild 2 be shared at The Game Awards 2021?

The fires of speculation.

The Game Awards 2021 are just around the corner, and host/well-known gaming personality Geoff Keighley is already fueling speculation around the show's secret game reveals.

One tweet Geoff posted referred to a game they have been working on with developers for 2.5 years, and comments of said tweet have been quick to work out that 2.5 years was roughly the same amount of time as the first reveal of Breath of the Wild 2. Could a release date or more information about BotW 2 be shared at TGA 2021?

A few arguments are taking place in the comments, as The Game Awards are well known for showing off "world premieres," and Breath of the Wild 2 has already been shown, so it couldn't be. But people are countering with, BotW was shown at E3, yet at TGA 2014, they classed it as a "world premiere."

World premiere, in theory, is a fancy name for showing something off for the first time, but that isn't limited to the first-ever footage shown of the game. If new mechanics, story details are shown that have never been revealed before, this is still a "world premiere" as it's brand new.

Either way, we'll see in time if Breath of the Wild 2 is presented in any shape or form at The Game Awards 2021.
