  • Hack the Wheelson in Ashika Island or in Building 21.

Where to find the Wheelson in DMZ

As mentioned in the challenge itself, the Wheelson spawns in the Ashika Island and Building 21 maps of DMZ. In Building 21, you'll find this bot on the top/third floor of the compound. As for Ashika Island, the Wheelson can be found patrolling in Tsuki Castle, the central region of the map where the Bombmaker and the Weapon Case are held up.

How to hack the Wheelson in DMZ

We recommend that you attempt the Electric Sheep challenge on Ashika Island as the overall threat is lower on this map. While engaging the Wheelson, positioning is key as the bot can easily kill you if you're in its line of sight for too long. Furthermore, you also have to beware of enemy squads and Shadow Company armored units in the area. Therefore, you should climb onto the roof of Tsuki Castle from the south side (as shown on the map) for a clear view of the target and better safety.

Now, there are multiple ways of destroying and hacking the Wheelson:

  • PILA Launcher: You can equip the PILA in your weapon loadout for DMZ and use this weapon to take out the Wheelson. It'll take a moment to lock onto the bot and will destroy it in a single hit.
  • Thermite Lethals: If you don't want to or can't bring a Launcher, make sure to equip Thermite as your lethal equipment and also bring in a Munitions Box. Try to stick two Thermites onto the Wheelson to deal heavy damage and shoot at it to give it a final blow.
  • DDoS Field Upgrade: The DDoS method works fine but it's a lot riskier. When the Wheelson is sufficiently close to you, activate the DDoS and it'll be disabled temporarily. Don't waste even a second and approach the Wheelson to hack it. The bot comes back online fast, but you can complete the hack if you've been efficient with timing.

If you don't want to try anything complex to destroy it, simply shoot at the Wheelson using a high-damage weapon, such as an AR or LMG, and use explosives like Semtex. Make sure you don't come in front of its bullets as you'll get knocked down very fast. Once the Wheelson is disabled, a lock icon will appear on it. Approach the robot and start the hack by pressing the interact button.
