If you're one of them, you've probably encountered the dreaded NIAMEY-LEE error. If this happens, you risk losing all your progress and rewards in the Modern Warfare 2 campaign. Here's how to fix the NIAMEY-LEE error in MW2.

How to repair NIAMEY-LEE error in Modern Warfare 2

If you encounter the NIAMEY-LEE error saying: "Your data is corrupt or didn't download properly. You must reset your rank and unlocks to continue," don't worry, there is a solution! Follow these steps to avoid losing your progress in the campaign mode of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2:

  1. Accept reset by selecting the Yes button.
  2. Cancel the installation and return to the campaign screen.
  3. Press the Settings button.
  4. Select the Quick Settings (option button).
  5. Back out from Quick Settings.
  6. Return to playing the campaign.

To avoid this, restart your game client so the update can automatically fix this and some other MW2 issues. This way, you should be able to keep your progress made in early access and all campaign rewards in Modern Warfare 2 you've collected during that time.
