How to get the M13b in DMZ

Defeat the Chemist to get the M13b.

Call of Duty DMZ is an extraction-based survival game mode where you come across different types of AI combatants and bosses. The Chemist is one of the bosses you will face in DMZ, and defeating him will reward you with an M13b blueprint and other top-tier loot. I did not have the M13b unlocked, and went ahead to fight the Chemist to instantly get the gun in my inventory. You can follow the same method to get this weapon quickly in DMZ. Here's how you can obtain the M13b Assault Rifle in DMZ.

The M13b Assault Rifle can be unlocked by defeating The Chemist boss in the radiation zone over on the Al Mazrah map. Once defeated, the Chemist drops a custom M13b equipped with five attachments, and you must pick this weapon and extract from the map to successfully get the gun. The interesting thing here is that once you extract the M13b from DMZ, you can use it in Warzone 2 and Multiplayer game modes.

DMZ M13b Exact Map Location

The Chemist boss spawns at random spots on Al Mazrah, and you can find his exact location by opening your tactical map. You need to look for the yellow circle with the red radiation symbol as marked by the white arrow in the image above. This yellow circle is the radiation zone, and the Chemist hides somewhere inside it. You must visit this location and defeat the Chemist to get the M13b in DMZ.

How to defeat the Chemist in DMZ

The Chemist is a tough and tanky boss surrounded by a platoon of AI combatants, and he hides inside a radioactive zone. I would recommend getting Gas Masks or Radiation Blocker pills before getting inside the radioactive zone as it brings your health slowly. Luckily, I found a Durable Gas Mask which helped me while fighting the Chemist.

The Chemist stands out from the crowd of AI forces as he wears a bright yellow-color suit. Check the first image to see how this boss looks in-game. Once you spot him, start firing instantly, and throw grenades at him if you can. The Chemist can withstand a lot of damage, and can also shroud his location with smoke grenades. I used a thermal scope as shown in the second image above, and this helped me see through the smoke to eliminate the Chemist faster.

If you are going in with a squad, clear out the AI forces in the radiation zone first, and then focus on the Chemist boss. I would also recommend finding a few Stim Beacons and Self-Revives as these will help you survive longer during the fight. Once you defeat the Chemist, he will drop a bunch of items, including the M13b. I got a Gold Skull as well after defeating the Chemist, making this boss fight absolutely worth it in DMZ.
