In Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, players will get various customization options to play the game according to their preferences. Crossplay has always been debatable in the CoD community, and players will get to turn it off while playing MW2 Multiplayer. Here's how to turn off Crossplay in MW2.
How to disable crossplay in Modern Warfare 2
The Crossplay option has been removed from PC and Xbox consoles during launch. You can check the image above to see Account and Network settings where the Crossplay option is missing. However, Account and Network is the section where you will find it, and you can toggle Crossplay ON or OFF when the developers add it to the game. Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer launched recently, which means you'll be matched up against opponents from different platforms.
Although this may upset both console and PC players, fans can expect this feature to return later in MW2. To disable Crossplay, navigate to the Settings menu in Modern Warfare 2. Enabling Crossplay allows players to matchup against players from all the available platforms. Similarly, disabling this option means matchmaking will only use your current gaming platform. Follow the steps listed below to turn this feature off.
- Select the Settings icon
- Scroll down to Account and Network
- Switch Crossplay ON or OFF

We recommend keeping an eye on the CoD's official Twitter handle to stay updated with the upcoming feature. Crossplay is a major feature in Modern Warfare 2, and there are several debates in the community regarding aim assist. Whether you are a mouse, keyboard, or console player, the Crossplay feature will match you against players from the same platform.
