How to access Crown Faction Missions in DMZ

Only those players who've purchased Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 can unlock and complete missions from the Crown Faction in DMZ. On its launch, DMZ was marketed as a free-to-play title. However, Crown Faction being vailable only for those who make a purchase contradicts this statement.

MW2 is the premium Call of Duty release for the year 2022, with progression tied to Warzone 2 and DMZ. After you've bought this game, the Crown Faction will unlock for you once you've completed the Stronghold Reacquisition final mission for the Tier 1 White Lotus Faction. The game comes with Multiplayer, Campaign, Cooperative, and Raid modes. The standard edition of MW2 usually sells for $70, but its price drops by some amount during sales.
