How to complete the Substantial Findings mission in DMZ

  • Take the 2 tracking devices from the Town Center and Al Sharim Pass Dead Drops.
  • Plant a tracker on top of the submarine in Hafid Port.
  • Plant a tracker on top of the submarine in Ashika Island.

As evident from the challenges, this mission is basically divided into two main parts that you need to complete on the two maps—Al Mazrah and Ashika Island. Let's begin by having a look at how you can get the tracker and where you need to plant it in Al Mazrah.

Where is the Al Sharim Pass Dead Drop in Al Mazrah

The Al Sharim Pass Dead Drop is located on top of the mountain north of Al-Malik International Airport. The exact location of the dumpster where you need to collect the first tracker from has been shown in the images above. Be well prepared as the area is heavily guarded by several armored bots. Furthermore, Al Sharim Pass is also a Weapon Case spawn, where you may encounter the Juggernaut commander.

Where to plant the tracker on the submarine in Hafid Port

Once you've managed to grab the tracking device from the Al Sharim Pass Dead Drop, head straight to Hafid Port, the westernmost POI on the map, preferably using a vehicle. Enter the large warehouse marked on the map above and you'll find a submarine inside. Climb onto this vessel and plant the tracker on the sail to complete the first half of the Substantial Findings mission.

Where is the Town Center Dead Drop in Ashika Island

For the next part of the challenge, deploy into Ashika Island and head to the Town Center, which is a western POI on the map. You can locate the Town Center Dead Drop next to the Science Center building, which you may have visited for the Shock Value mission for the Tier 3 Legion Faction. Stow the second tracker from this dumpster into your backpack.

The submarine you need to plant this tracker on is located inside the underground Waterways, directly underneath the Tsuki Castle. You must have visited this place while trying to access the Waterways Dead Drop for a variety of missions by now. Once again, climb on top of the submarine and plant the tracker on the sail, or the part indicated in the picture above. While doing so, beware of the enemies nearby, especially the Juggernauts guarding the area.
