Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is shaping up to be one of the biggest titles in the franchise, making players eager to know about the classic maps that will be included in the game. Verdansk was the most popular map in Warzone, but unfortunately, it was not included in MW2 and Warzone 2. Here's what you need to know about Verdansk returning to Call of Duty MW3.
Is Verdansk coming back in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3?
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is scheduled to release on November 10, 2023, and it will feature several classic maps from MW2. Naturally, players are looking forward to the return of Verdansk from Warzone, a classic battle royale map built for high-octane action. With the latest Makarov reveal trailer, eagle-eyed fans spotted certain iconic locations from Verdansk.
A shot featuring hostages in the Makarov trailer showed the Stadium from Verdansk. You can clearly see the football team logo in the image above, and it matches the one from the classic Warzone map. From this teaser, players can expect Verdansk to be featured in some capacity in Modern Warfare 3. Perhaps we will get to see this map during the campaign mode and later on in battle royale.
As for Makarov, he is an old nemesis CoD veterans will remember from Modern Warfare 2 (2009). His return in the latest MW3 changes the whole dynamic with Task Force 141. Price, Ghost, Soap, and their team will be after Makarov, so you can expect a few nerve-racking missions in the MW 3 campaign. Activision's official blog also highlighted the return of Zombie game modes in Modern Warfare 3, with player inventory carried forward from MW2.
