In Core Keeper, there are dozens of upgrades and unique items that can permanently upgrade your character. One of the rarest and best, though, is the Amber Larva. A creepy-crawly encased in amber, this bug upgrades your health Permanently when used. But how exactly do you get the Amber Larva in Core Keeper?
Amber Larva can be found in either the Larva Hive Biome or The Forgotten Caves Biome. Both of these biomes are close to the starting Dirt biome. In the Larva Hive Biome, Amber Larva is found in chests. In The Forgotten Caves, you’ll find the Amber Larva its own Amber Larva Unique Structure.

To find the Larva Hive Biome, dig out of the Dirt Biome into the Clay Caves. The Larva Hive Biome is connected to the Clay Caves.
To find The Forgotten Caves Biome, just dig out of the Dirt Biome. In some cases, you’ll encounter The Forgotten Caves before you even strike the Clay Caves, depending on your luck.
Amber Larva permanently increases your health by 50. But the Amber Larva isn’t the only discoverable item that permanently increases your health. The Giant Mushroom, which is obtainable by breaking a Giant Mushroom, is a unique structure that grants a bonus 25 health. You can find this structure in either the Dirt Biome or the Clay Caves.
