I love point-and-click puzzle games and the Cube Escape series is one of the most atmospheric I’ve played. If you’re looking for a walkthrough of Cube Escape: Seasons, read on.

Complete Cube Escape Seasons Walkthrough Guide

The Cube Escape series puts you into a world reminiscent of David Lynch’s Twin Peaks. Everything seems peaceful at first, but things get strange pretty fast in this virtual escape room. However, stick to the guide below and you shouldn’t have any trouble. Note that I’ve mentioned a few Steam Achievements in the copy, which are only relevant if you’re not playing the game on mobile. 

Spring 1964

In the clock view click the chest of drawers (a1), taking the Matches from the top drawer and the Spoon from the third drawer. Also, click the telephone to hear, All that you touch, you change (a2).

Move right to the window and click the curtains twice (b1) to open them. Click the window for a close-up up and click it again to get a Photo Piece. Sometimes you'll see a woman when you open and close the curtains. Click her for the Steam achievement, The Woman.

Go right again to the sink, open the doors (c1), and take the Empty Pot, Wood, and Bird Food. Go back to the left, put some bird food in the cage (b2), click the bird, and then collect the Uncooked Egg. Keep clicking the bird and you’ll get a Steam achievement, Harvey. Turn on the light switch (b3).

Back at the sink, put the pot under the tap (c2) to get a Pot of Water. Select the stove top (c3), click the second dial from the left (d1), and then use the matches to light the left hob (d2). Add the pot of water, put the egg into it, then use the spoon to remove the Cooked Egg. Place the cooked egg in the egg cup (d3), and then click it with the spoon until you get the Black Cube

Move right to the fireplace and put the black cube into the hole about it (e1). You can also add the photo piece you have to the frame (e2) above it. Light the candle (e3) with the matches, add the wood to the fire (e4), and also light that with the matches.

Click the radio (e5) for a close-up to get a second Photo Piece, then look up to see the light on the ceiling and click it to get the final Photo Piece. Add these to the picture frame, then keep clicking it until you complete Spring 1964.

Summer 1971

Take the Cassette (f1), then get a close-up of the tape deck (f2) and take the Plug. Put the cassette into the tape player, play it, then eject it to get Tape

Go right and click the drawers (g1), take the Telescope from on top, then keep clicking the inside of the bowl until you get a Photo Piece. Take a second Photo Piece from next to the drawers in the same close-up, then take the Matches (top) and Screwdriver (bottom) from the drawers. Click the phone (g2) to hear, There will be blood

Go right, turn on the light, look up, and take the Key from the light. Switch the light back off. Move back to the fireplace, use the key to open the cupboard (f3), then use the screwdriver to attach the plug to the lamp (f4) in close-up. Plug the lamp in, turn it on, and take a Third Photo Piece (see above). 

Go back to the window, open the curtains, and use the telescope to look at the moon. Keep clicking for a closer and closer view until you see the window and get the code 1487. Keep clicking the woman in the window to return to the room. Return to the fireplace view and use the code to open the safe (f3), taking the Shrimp

Go to the sink, click the oven (h1), and open it with the Screwdriver. Turn the gas on with the red dial (h2), light it with the matches, put the shrimp in, and close the oven. Click the closed oven to reopen it, then repeatedly click the image inside to get the Black Cube. Return to the clock view, click the clock (g3) for a close-up, and take the final Photo piece

Add the final photo piece to the picture above the fireplace (f5), light the candle, and place the cube in its hole above the fireplace. Put the tape in the fireplace (f6), light it, then click the picture to complete Summer 1971.

Fall 1971

Click the pinboard (i1) and take the Photo Piece behind the right part of the frame (you can add it to the frame while you’re here). Click the TV (i2) power button, click channel three, and the number 6 will appear on the screen. 

Now click channel six, and the TV will say Press 1. Press one to see 2 egg cups. Click two and you’ll see the clock, with the time set to 4 o'clock. Click four to see Channel 5 news. Click five to see the number 3 in blood. Clicking three will get you the Roman numeral of 2. Click it to get Channel 5 once more then click that to see the mysterious shadow figure with the Roman numeral for 4. Click four to get the Black Cube

Go right and take the Knife from the second drawer (j1). Click the phone (j2) to hear, The past is not dead, it’s not even past.

Move right again to the window, use the knife on the bird (k1), and then keep clicking the dead bird until you get a second Photo Piece

Head to the kitchen, get a close-up of the taps (l1), and take the third Photo Piece. Look up to the ceiling and the light will be an eyeball. Keep clicking it and the final Picture Piece will drop. Back out looking at the fireplace, you can collect it from the floor. Complete the photo, then click the photo as usual to complete Fall 1971.

Winter 1981

Click the contraption on the wall by the fireplace (m1) for a close-up and take the Blueprint Piece (you can add it to the picture frame here as usual). Also, click the corkboard (m2) and note the page with red dots next to symbols. These match up with the number of dots on the contraptions on the walls:

  1. Kitchen: Flower
  2. Fireplace: Fruit
  3. Clock: Mushroom
  4. Window: Pill

Go right and take the Matches (top) and Axe (bottom) from the chest of drawers (n1). Head right once more and use the axe on the window until you get the Wood. Keep clicking the window until it breaks. You can go back to the fireplace (m3), add the wood, and light it with the matches.

Move to the kitchen view and click the pictures on the wall (o1) for a close-up, taking the second Blueprint Piece. Also, note the times printed by the photos:

  • The Woman: 09.05
  • The Lake: 03.55
  • The Flowers: 11.25 

Open the cupboard (o2) and take the Glass. Click the cooker (o3) for a close-up, take the third Blueprint Piece from behind it, and get the final Blueprint Piece from the contraption on the wall here (o4). 

Complete the picture (m4) and light the candle as usual. Note the time on the clock radio (m5) is 13.10. Move to the clock (n2) and set the hands to 1.10 to hear a click. Open the bottom half of the clock, and take the Blue Cube. Add the blue cube to the wall above the fireplace and click it as usual, and you’ll be back at what looks like the starting screen. 

Spring 1964 (second time)

Change the time on the clock here to 9.05. You’ll hear a click. Open the lower part of the clock and take the Trowel, Key, and Coat Hanger. Use the key to open the safe cupboard (below e5), open it with 1487, and take the Seed.  Also, add the coat hanger to the radio (e5), move the dial to between 100-110, and take the Key

Use the trowel on the plant pot on the chest of drawers (a1) to take out the plant, then add the seed. Move to the kitchen, take the pot of water on the stove( c3), and use it on the fireplace (e4). Take the Wood there. 

Use the wood on the window (b1), which keeps it open. Use the key to open the birdcage (b2), then click it again to open the door on it. Come out of the close-up, click the bird again, and it will fly to the open window. Click the bird when it’s on the windowsill and it will fly out, while the window will shut again. Go back to the fireplace room and click the cube in the picture to come back to the start screen.

Summer 1971 (second time)

Move back to the clock and this time set it to 3.55. Again, you’ll hear a click. Open the clock and take the Wrench. Use the wrench on the pipe leading into the oven (h1) in the close-up. Go back to the fireplace room and click the cube in the picture to come back to the start screen.

Fall 1971 (second time)

Change the clock to 11.25. Once you hear it click open take the Matches from inside the clock. Light the candle next to the picture above the fire with the matches, and then click the cube in the picture to come back to the start screen once more.

Winter 1981 (second time)

Take the Prozak (Pill) from where the candle has burnt out (e3). Take the Cactus Fruit (Fruit) from the cactus (j1). Tune the clock radio (m5) to between 100-110 (music will start playing), then go to the broken window and take the Flower from the bird. Get a close-up of the oven, where you used the wrench on the pipe, and take the Mushroom

Add each item in turn to the blender in the kitchen (above o2), add a Glass of Water (using the tap), and then turn the blender on. Use the mixture you make on the glass, then add it to the appropriate contraption in each room (using the table above you got from the corkboard). Click the switch on each contraption afterward (p1) to turn it on. Once they’re all working, click the switch on the main machine by the clock (p2). Go back to the start screen.

If you’re struggling with any of the second-time areas, check to make sure the candle by the fireplace is lit in each one. 

Conclusion

Go to Spring 1964, go to the clock view, and click the phone.  The picture in the clock will become the woman. Click on all the items on the screen and they will each disappear. When the screen goes white, click each grey dot that appears, then keep clicking the tree, and finally click the window.
