Cyberpunk 2077: Preload, File Sizes

Easily one of the most anticipated games of all time is finally releasing this month. Players worldwide are no doubt hyped up to the max, knowing not long remains before they can play Cyberpunk 2077. Though, gamers will probably be wondering if there will be an option to download the game before release and how big will it be?

Cyberpunk 2077 Preload

Update: The GOG PC preload for Cyberpunk 2077 is December 7th, at 12 PM CET. It's been confirmed by GOG. And on Steam and Epic Games Store it's also December 7 but at 5 PM CET.

Xbox players are able to preload the game as of now! If you have purchased it on any of the Xbox family of consoles, Cyberpunk 2077, is now available to preload!

For PlayStation 4/5 users, we know via a rumor that the preload date is December 8.

Also, from our Cyberpunk 2077 Release Time article, it seems that Xbox players are able to play the game when it releases simultaneously across the world. Still, PlayStation players have to wait until midnight local time.

Cyberpunk 2077 File Size

The file size for Cyberpunk 2077 will differ depending on what platform you have purchased the game on.

If you have purchased the game on PlayStation 4, from a rumor, the file size will be 71.73 GB. If PlayStation 5, we expect it to be bigger.

We can assume that the Xbox version follows suit in roughly the same file size, as the PC Cyberpunk Steam Page mentions 70 GB of available space is needed.

Due to Cyberpunk 2077 not having next-generation enhancements on Day 1, we can estimate the file sizes will be on par with PS4 and Xbox One.
