While it's fun to test out all the Killers in the new game mode and challenge yourself, you should also know which ones will get you the most kills. Read about the best Killers for Dead by Daylight Lights Out mode.
DBD Lights Out Modifier Best Killers Guide
The Dead by Daylight new game mode strips down the Killers to their base kits and forces you to adapt your playstyle in near complete darkness. Not all Killers are as useful if you want to kill as many Survivors as possible. Check out the DBD Lights Out Modifier best Killers guide below.
Doctor
With so many information perks, you are almost certainly running at least one at all times on your Killers in the normal matches of Dead by Daylight. With no perks in Lights Out, the Doctor will step up and provide you with the most information. Madness will keep the Survivors screaming throughout the map. The Illusionary Doctors from Madness tier three will also be good indicators where the Survivors are.
Leatherface
While Leatherface and his chainsaw are loud when attacking you, he is actually pretty quiet when just walking around. In a dark map with zero Terror Radius, Bubba is the most terrifying Killer. That chainsaw is already hard to avoid, but coming at you as a complete surprise, it's going to take you out easily. Just like with Myers, you can get an insta down but without the added stress of having to stalk someone.
Trapper
The Trapper is a character that requires quite a bit of set up at the beginning. You only have two Bear Traps in your hands to place and then you have to look for more across the map. This could also mean Survivors seeing you putting them down. However, with the Lights Out Modifier, the chances of them seeing you are incredibly reduced. Also, Survivors have the tendency to run around everywhere, so this is the perfect opportunity to catch them in your Traps.
Plague
Another information Killer is the Plague. She won't be getting any Noise triggers like the Doctor's Shock therapy, but she will be getting constant information from the vomiting. Just make sure you cover as many gens and lockers with the Sickness as possible. Survivors might end up cleansing more to avoid causing so much noise, but that will give you the Corrupt Purge ability to use against them.
Nemesis
Nemesis already brings in a lot of fear with him just because of all of the memories from playing Resident Evil 2. Hearing those stomps in the dark is the absolute worst. The zombies will also become even more scary, just hearing them and not knowing where they are. You also have the addition of Contaminated Survivors coughing, so you get both the scare factor as well as some noise info with Nemesis.
While these Killers handle themselves the best in the Lights Out Modifier, I can honestly say that almost every Killer has been a fun new challenge to play with. It's also great to see some of the more forgotten ones get their spot in the sun, or better to say in the darkness.
