Nothing is final when upgrading anything in Dead Space Remake with Nodes at the Bench. Upgrades can be reset at any point in the game so long as players have Credits to reset their upgrades. It will be very costly to do this for every single upgrade, so upgrading unnecessarily can end up being more costly than just buying more Nodes. This is how to reset upgrades in Dead Space Remake.
How to reset Nodes and Upgrades in Dead Space Remake
All Suit and weapon upgrades can be reset for 5,000 Credits each when looking through the upgrade menu in the Bench. All the weapons in the game and the Suit will have their own separate menu for upgrades and the Nodes spent on each of them can be brought back into Isaac's inventory. When removing upgrades from the Suit, the visual changes like the increased HP and Energy will also be removed. With the freedom to upgrade a weapon to test it out and switch it out, players can figure out which weapons they want to use a lot easier.

Whatever weapon Isaac has in his inventory, even if it isn't equipped, will cause those weapons' ammo to drop. Storing weapons away and only having the weapons players want will ensure only getting ammo for their favorite weapons. This works the same way when players are low on health, causing Necromorphs to have a chance of dropping healing items. Low on Stasis also increases the chance of dropping Stasis Packs. Credits are dropped regardless of what Isaac is low on and are the most common drops from enemies.
