Destiny 2 does boast of a lot of interesting sniper rifles. However, not all of them perform well in a PvP scenario. To make things easier for you, here are five sniper rifles that we feel are the best for PvP.
1. Eye of Sol (Adept)
You will have to win seven continuous rounds in Trials of Osiris if you want to get your hands on this sniper rifle. If you get your hands on one with the Fluted Barrel, Tactical Mag, Snapshot Sights, and Vorpal Weapon traits, hold on to it. This trait combination will have you scoring headshots in PvP like no other.

2. Thoughtless
This sniper rifle is fairly new in Destiny 2. It was introduced in the Season of the Risen. There are two ways to get your hands on this weapon. You could either craft it at the Enclave. Or you could grind your season pass to level 35, where you'll end up receiving this weapon. That said, since this weapon is craftable, we recommend crafting the Headstone and Steady Hands perks for the Thoughtless.
3. 1000 Yard Stare
The 1000 Yard Stare was introduced as a part of the 30th Anniversary update in Destiny 2. The only way to acquire this weapon is by completing the "Grasp of Avarice" dungeon. The curated rolls for this weapon include Golden Tricon and No Distractions, making it a PvP worthy weapon. Once the Golden Tricon perk is active, you will get bonus damage for every final blow for a short period of time. And this perk is very helpful when it comes to PvP scenarios.
4. The Long Walk
This sniper has been around for a while in Destiny 2. You will have to complete the "Prophecy" dungeon to get your hands on this weapon. Usually, this weapon drops after you've completed the first encounter in this dungeon. The sniper usually drops with the Armor Piercing Rounds perk. This perk will not only increase the range of your weapon but will also give you additional damage.
5. Frozen Orbit
This weapon drops from the Crucible itself, so there's a high chance that you will get a weapon with PvP worthy traits. Since this weapon has a very small cartridge of only three bullets, having the Extended Mag and the Clown Cartridge perk is very helpful. Both these perks grant you access to more bullets before you need to reload.
And those are our top 5 snipers for PvP in Destiny 2. Our list, however, isn't absolute. There are a few snipers out there that you might prefer over all the five mentioned here. So head into the Crucible and try out which sniper is best suited for you. Good luck, Guardian.
