Destiny 2 Riven’s Wishes I Quest Guide

What would a wish dragon wish for?

Though the "last" of Destiny 2's Ahamkara may have left us, Riven has charged us with protecting her clutch. Part of this is fulfilling the Riven's Wishes quests. These weekly quests will appear each reset and charge players with completing various tasks in exchange for a Wish Token that can be exchanged for a wide variety of rewards. Here's how to knock it out quickly and what you should be spending your Wish Token on.

Riven's Wishes I Quest Steps

After accepting the quest from a curiously silent Mara Sov in the H.E.L.M., players need to head to the Dreaming City. Try not to think to hard about why there aren't any voiced lines for this.

The first step is to complete a Rift Generator Public Event in The Strand. After loading in, head to the right to enter The Strand. The Public Event will appear on your map when it's about to appear and/or is active. Completing it is as simple as killing the Abominations, picking up the Arc Cores they drop, and depositing them in the machine.

The second step is to complete Dreaming City activities. These can be Lost Sectors, Public Events, Blind Well, or the mini-missions dotting the jagged landscape. No single activity awards a significant amount of progress, so for the best return on your time, I recommend doing Blind Well runs. Most of these will be at Tier III and give some decent gear and materials for your trouble.

Riven's Wishes Rewards

With those two objectives taken care of, players will need to go back to Mara to receive their Wish Token and five Enhancement Cores. The Wish Core can be spent on one of the items listed below. Since there will only be six weeks of these quests, you'll only be able to claim six Wish Tokens in total.

So, for the Red Border Last Wish weapons, you'll want to figure out which one you want as it will take five of your six Wish Tokens to unlock the craftable version. Otherwise, you can nab each of the Lightfall Exotics for a class and have two Wish Tokens left over. Should you be stocked up on both of those, the Festival of the Lost and Dawning mementos have returned for one Wish Token each.
