Destiny 2: The Witch Queen is finally upon us and all players are itching to get into the game and experience all of the new content for themselves. The expansion is the game's largest to date and features tons of exciting concepts to explore. However, players may be disappointed to see that they'll find themselves waiting in line to play when they load up the game. Here is how long you can expect the queue to be in Destiny 2.
Destiny 2 does not give players an estimated time while waiting in the queue, however, Bungie has said that players should expect to sit in the queue for at least a few hours. It all comes down to timing. If you enter the queue in the evening, you will find yourself waiting longer due to the increased amount of players online. On the flip side, trying to play the game in the early hours of the morning might get you no resistance at all.
If you are lucky enough to get into the game, you could still receive a variety of error codes that cause you to be kicked out of the game. It can be quite frustrating, but since so many people are trying to play, there isn't much Bungie can do. The expansion sold over 1 million preorders, making it the first Destiny expansion to do so. Clearly, players are excited to get into the game, but they will just have to be patient as the queues should slowly disappear after a couple of days.
Unfortunately, players will have to wait to play this highly anticipated expansion, however, all you can do is get comfortable and wait it out. We recommend watching the Dynasty fan film by My name is Byf while you wait.
