The Whispers of the Past is an exotic quest promised to Destiny 2 players along with Into the Light. To start this quest, you'll need to go to the Quests tab and then head to the Moon to speak with Eris Morn. Once you've acquired it, you will be asked to complete The Whisper quest accessed via the Director. Upon completion, you will receive the Whisper of the Worm, an exotic solar-powered sniper rifle.

To access it, simply go to the Director and click on the Into the Light node. There you will find The Whisper quest, designed for 1-3 players with a recommended power level of 1810 or higher.

Once you load into the Grove of Ulan-Tan Lost Sector, the task is straightforward. You have to traverse through the Anomaly to reach the boss fight. Navigating through the sector is not as simple as it may seem. You will find yourself spending a significant amount of time jumping through crevices, following either red or white lights that illuminate each platform to guide you in the right direction.

You will have to dodge your way through obstacles before you reach the boss fight arena, where you will battle several Taken creatures. After eradicating the Taken corruption, you will face three mini-bosses before confronting the main boss.

Fighting Tulgorh, the Aspect of Agony, is simpler than the rest of the quest. He has a shield that makes him invulnerable, so you need to take out the Taken Shield Weavers to make him vulnerable before you can start chipping away at his health bar.

Once you complete the quest, you will receive a loot chest containing the Whispers of the Worm exotic solar sniper rifle. Altogether, it took me about 30 minutes to traverse the Anomaly alone, while the remaining 10 minutes were dedicated to the boss fight. If you're a fan of puzzle-filled maps, you will likely find it very enjoyable, as the boss fight is the least challenging aspect of it. Make sure you have at least 1810 power and gear that is good enough to take on the exotic quest.
