How to open Umbral Engrams in Destiny 2: The Witch Queen

To open Umbral Engrams in Destiny 2, you will need to find Master Rahool at the Tower. In short, you will no longer need to head to the H.E.L.M to open both Prismatic lenses or Umbral Engrams

Instead, you will need to speak to Master Rahool, and he will offer an option to open them for you along with the usual services. You can find Rahool at the location shown below at the Tower.

Rahool's location will be on your right when you spawn, as shown by our image above. Speak to Rahool, and you will get one Engram if you haven't spoken to him before. After accepting, opening Umbral Engrams can be done by selecting one and hitting decrypt.

The process is far easier than jumping to the H.E.L.M every time you want to open an Umbral Engram. Luckily the developers gave Rahool his ability to open Umbral Engrams with The Witch Queen Expansion.

How to get Umbral Engrams in Destiny 2: The Witch Queen

You just need to play the game to get Umbral Engrams in Destiny 2. As you play and complete missions and slay enemies, you will eventually get a few Umbral Engrams as drops or rewards. The rate at which these Engrams drop also tends to be random.
