How to start the Duality Dungeon in Destiny 2 – A Single Thread

Down into the depths once more.

Duality is the fifth dungeon to come to Destiny 2. It guides Guardians through the haunted halls of the Derelict Leviathan in its position just off the Moon. Guardians will need to brave many terrors and overcome challenging puzzles to emerge victorious. But before all that, they'll need to know how to start it!

How to begin the Destiny 2 Duality Dungeon

To begin the Duality Dungeon, Guardians will need to visit Hawthorne in the Tower and pick up the A Single Thread quest. From there, they can launch the new dungeon directly from the Moon.

It's certainly an odd way to handle the introduction. From a story perspective, Bungie could have simply played an intro clip explaining the what and why of this new activity. Instead, it's a few awkward paragraphs, and Guardians are on their way.

The recommended Power Levels are 1550 for the base level and 1590 for Master difficulty, and it is not a matchmade activity. More ambitious Guardians can attempt it solo. Otherwise, it's time to reach out to friends or search LFG posts. The Duality Dungeon has an enticing loot pool that includes includes weapon drops and dungeon-specific armor.
