How to use a Glaive in Destiny 2 The Witch Queen

Glaives are pretty cool!

To use a Glaive in Destiny 2, you must first acquire one by completing The Relic mission. Completing The Relic mission will unlock your first Glaive, which acts as a unique melee weapon.

Once you have a Glaive, you can use the primary attack to fire high damage dealing projectile and the secondary attack to melee opponents. Before using Glaives, there are some nuances you should learn first.

In short, the Glaive is similar to that of Swords but differs in how they operate. Instead of the main attack being a melee, Glaives act as a high power ranged weapon.

The ranged ability of Galives will require energy ammo (green ammo) and fires one shot at a time. Glaives also do severe damage, but the trade-off is the one shot at a time fire rate.

Glaives can also do severe melee damage, but instead of the main attack being melee, the melee attack for Glaives shares the same controls as the character's melee attack.

That being said, if you want to use Glaives in Destiny 2, you will need to treat them as a long-range sniping weapon and melee juggernaut. We recommend using them to mow down weaker enemies and using them to cause heavy damage to bosses.
