What is Fundamental Osmium for in Destiny 2?

Fundamental Osmium in Destiny serves as an extra method for you to increase your reputation with Fynch called Throne World Reputation. You can find Fundamental Osmium all across Savathun's Throne World in the form of nodes.

These nodes will appear as shown in the image above. If you want to harvest the nodes, just walk up and hold your interact button. 

Interacting with Fundamental Osmium nodes will reward you with a small amount of glimmer and will give you some extra points towards your Throne World reputation.

Throne World reputation is the total reputation you have with the NPC Fynch. Leveling Throne World Reputation will also allow you to earn new rewards such as Throne World Engrams.

Throne World Engrams are loot drops similar to all other Engrams but will reward players with loot a Throne World theme. That said, collecting Fundamental Osmium when you find it across the Throne World destination in Destiny 2 will help raise your reputation with Fynch.

However, Fundamental Osmium won't be enough to make a drastic change to Throne World Reputation by itself. Because of this, you will need to couple collecting Fundamental Osmium with other activities for raising Throne World reputation, such as the following list of activities:

• Bounties
• Quests on Savathun's Throne World
• Patrols
• Public Events
• Lost Sectors
• Altars of Reflection
