Dinkum Photo Request – How to take photos in Dinkum

Snap your Outback adventures!

Dinkum is an Australian-inspired life simulator where you try to survive the harsh Australian Outback while building up your town. Once you've got your town looking beautiful at sunset, you may want to snap some photos. Dinkum can be difficult, but we are here with a beginner's guide and a Camera guide for Dinkum, how to take photos, and what to do with them.

How to get a Camera in Dinkum

To buy a Camera, you will need to unlock it from Theodore, the Museum Owner. When Theodore visits your island, you should complete a task for him each time to increase your heart with Theodore. Eventually, he will ask to open a permanent shop; this will open the Museum on your island.

  • Donate Bugs and Fish to the Museum.
  • Increase your hearts with Theodore above one.
  • The Camera will become available for purchase in the Museum.
  • Purchase the Camera for 16,000 Dinks.

Equip the Camera on your toolbar and right-click to enter the photo mode. Left-clicking again will take a photo. Photos are stored on the Photos tab of your Adventure Journal.

You can display photos in the Museum by clicking on the empty frames around Theodore. If you have a Bulletin Board, you can also randomly receive requests from the NPCs to take Photos and sell them to NPCs. Keep an eye on the Bulletin Board for easy photo opportunities.
