Every spell combo in Dragon Age: Origins, listed

Magic has always existed in the world of Dragon Age, and taking advantage of spell combos can help your team hit harder and faster when fighting. Spell combinations are the result of certain spells being cast at the same target.

There are 10 known spell combinations in Dragon Age: Origins that players can take advantage of. When these are discovered, a new entry is created in the player's in-game Codex.

Spell NameCominationEffect
Advanced ReanimationSpell Might + Animate DeadSummons a skeleton minion that is 0.9x the caster's level.
CombinationDeath Hex + Death CloudIf a target who has been afflicted with Death Hex enters a Death Cloud, the Death Hex is dispelled and the target suffers Entropic Death. This deals 200 + 2x your number of Specialization Points in spirit damage to the target.
Flame QuencherGrease Fire (Grease + Any Fire Spell) + BlizzardStops a Grease Fire.
Grease FireGrease + Any Fire SpellUsing a Fire Spell, set Grease (created by the mage spell Grease) on fire to cause a Grease Fire. The Grease Fire will cause 30 fire damage every 1.5 seconds for 20 seconds to any target that stands in/walks through the Grease Fire.
Improved DrainVulnerability Hex + Drain Life or Mana DrainIf you combine the Vulnerability Hex with the spell Drain Life, it will deal 100% more damage to your target and generate 100% more healing.

If you combine the Vulnerability Hex with the spell Mana Drain, it will take 50% more mana from your target.
NightmareSleep + HorrorNightmare deals 100 + 1x the number of Specialization Points you have in spirit damage, removes the Sleep effect, and applies the Horror effect to your target.
Paralysis ExplosionGlyph of Paralysis + Glyph of RepulsionParalysis Explosion causes all targets in a 7.5m radius to be paralyzed for 20 seconds x your target's rank.
ShatteringPetrify or Cone of Cold or Hand of Winter + Critical Hit or Stonefist or Crushing PrisonAny of these combinations will instantly kill your target. This does not work on enemies ranked Lieutenant or above.
ShockwaveCrushing Prison + Force FieldDeals 50 + 0.5x the number of Specialization Points you have in physical damage and knocks down all nearby targets. However, it does not affect your primary target.
Storm of the CenturySpell Might + Blizzard + TempestDrains the caster of an extra 100 mana when the final component of the combination is cast. Lasts for 30 seconds, dealing 40 + 0.4x the number of Specialization Points you have in electricity damage every two seconds.

This combination also drains stamina from the caster which is equal to the damage dealt.
