Gameplay trailer makes its mark at Playstation event

During the State of Play livestream on January 31, 2024, Capcom showed off some stunning footage of its upcoming title called Dragon's Dogma 2. We have finally gotten a few more hints of what the game will look like when it launches on March 22, 2024. The action trailer shows off some of the fast, fluid real-time combat, and showed off the pre-order bonuses that will be available for those who pre-purchase on the PlayStation 5.

The action trailer puts some of the combat from several of the different classes on display, including Archer, Fighter, Mage, Sorcerer, and more. It gives us a good look at what battling a dragon will look like, and the combat looks incredibly fast-paced and intense. There is a blending of ranged and melee, magick and physical combat that merges together seamlessly into unique combos for each class type. There was also a little more of the story in this trailer, though just hints; it looks like there will be a lot more evil to take on beyond the titular dragon.

At the very end of the trailer, Dragon's Dogma also showed off the pre-order bonus, a Superior Weapons Quartet, which are designed to be buffed weapons to help with early combat. It is unknown what the exact details and stats of each weapon are, but there is one bow, a sword-and-shield combo, a staff, and pair of knives. It is unknown if this pre-order bonus will be available outside of the PS5 or if Steam and Xbox will have their own unique pre-order bonuses.
