How to deal with all status effects in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Get it all off me.

In Dragon's Dogma 2, status effects are called Debilitations, and they are often worrisome effects that can completely cripple you in battle. Thankfully, there is a method that allows you to deal with every type of status effect in the game, so here's everything you need to know.

How to remove all status effects in Dragon's Dogma 2

Typically, when you're afflicted with a debilitation, you want to remove it as soon as possible. Depending on which one(s) you have on you, there are items specific to removing each and every status in the game. These are craftable, provided you have the right combination of resources, and are, sometimes, removed through natural means.

However, I don't recommend using all but one of these due to the weight restrictions present in-game. More on this soon.

Drenched

Drenched is a status effect that enables you to take enhanced negative effects from other sources in most cases. It is inflicted when you are doused in some type of water, like taking a brief dip in a lake. If it is raining, you are also automatically inflicted by Drenched.

While Drenched, if you are hit by Ice Damage, you become significantly easier to freeze. If you're hit by Lightning Damage, you'll suffer massive damage and become numb from the attack. When hit by Fire Damage, you will just suffer less damage from it.

The best way to remove drenched is to use a Panacea, which additionally heals you. You can also make use of a Mage's Halidom spell, which cures the effect.

Blighted

Blighted is a status effect that causes ramping Poison Damage over time, with each application increasing the lethality. Over-application of Blighted will lead you to suffer significant poison damage, so it is recommended you remove this as soon as you get it.

The best way to rid yourself of Blighted is to use a Panacea. However, if you don't have one on you, then Halidom and Detoxifying Decoction can remove the status as well.

Frostbite

Frostbite is an extremely dangerous status effect that slows you down until you're frozen outright. You can become afflicted with Frostbite by suffering continual Ice Damage.

This harrowing status can be removed by using a Panacea or Warming Salve. Additionally, suffering Fire Damage can potentially undo the effects of Frostbite.

Petrification

Petrification is another horrific status effect that slows you to a crawl until you're unable to act. However, unlike Frostbite, if you're Petrified completely, you will die instantly. It is caused by suffering attacks that have Petrify as a bonus effect.

Removal of Petrification is done through the use of a Panacea or Malleating Elixir.

Silence

Depending on your Vocation, the Silence status effect either has little effect on you or is crippling to your game plan. Silence prevents all speech and completely impedes your ability to cast spells. Generally speaking, you will either suffer Silence all at once or not all. Rarely is there a build-up as this status does not have a damage type that can cause you to suffer it.

Removal of Silence is done by using a Panacea or Soothing Brew.

Sleep

Sleep status is annoying and more common than many of the others on this list. It prevents you from taking all action. Sleep is caused by a build-up of the Sleep attribute, most often encountered when facing Harpies.

Removal of Sleep is done by allowing a support-orientated Pawn to wake you up, using a Panacea, or Waking Powder.

Tarred

Tarred is a status effect that does almost nothing to you and has no damage component. It is inflicted when you are doused in an oil source and makes you highly vulnerable to the Torched status effect.

Removal of Tarred can be done by using an Allheal Elixir, Panacea, or Halidom spell.

Torched

Torched is the most damaging status effect, and it can kill very quickly under high-pressure circumstances. It is inflicted when you suffer excessive Fire Damage and is much easier to apply when Tarred.

Torched is removed by using a Panacea, taking a dip in a water source, rainfall, suffering the Drenched status, and through Quenching Syrup.

Unconscious

Unconscious is a status effect that cripples you by limiting your ability to act and reducing your mobility. It is commonly inflicted when suffering excessive Lightning and Blunt damage.

To remove the Unconscious status, simply drink a Panacea or Sobering Tonic.

You may have noticed a pattern with my suggestion to counter each status with Panacea. That is because Panacea is the miracle drug in Dragon's Dogma 2. It removes every single status effect you can suffer and can be purchased at most general stores throughout the game.
