Where to find all Tape locations in Dying Light 2

Across the territories of Dying Light 2, players can find a total of 63 tapes scattered and hidden. As a collectible, these tapes give players more context to the full story of what has happened to Aiden's world. There are tons of small worldbuilding stories left for players to discover.

All Quarry End Tapes

• Tape 8: Journal of a Nightrunner 2 - Climb up the Quarry End Swimming Pool's roof. This tape will be atop the fridge above the painting.
• Tape 9: The City Classifields - Baltazar - North of the Oak Windmill, near the border of Horseshoe players. You can find this tape in a home with an electrified floor. It's on the top floor, on a shelf beside some red paint cans.

All Trinity Tapes

• Tape 1: Journal of a Nightrunner 1 - Inside of Cillian's Safe House, just northwest of the Holy Trinity Metro Station. Players can find the tape under the TV to the right of his bed.
• Tape 2: Villedor Newscast 3 - In the Rooftop School Settlement. Players can find this tape on the table beside the globe.
• Tape 3: Carl's Journal 3 - At the back of the Bazaar, near the Trader and Craftmaster.
• Tape 4: Carl's Journal 1 - On the upper floor of the Bazaar, at the back. Players can find this tape on a box beside the saw, hammer, and paintings in the corner.
• Tape 5: Carl's Journal 2 - Inside the Bazaar's sleeping area, players can find this tape on the side of the blue and yellow sleeping bag.
• Tape 6: The City Classfields - Egg Hunting - This tape is inside the Pumpkin Farm settlement.
• Tape 7: Tourist Office of Villedor - Old Villedor - This tape is on a shelf inside the North Trading Post Settlement.
• Tape 10: Carl's Journal 4 - Players can find this tape halfway up the northwestern tower of the Bazaar. It'll be in a wooden crate near the zipline.
• Tape 12: Tourism Office of Villedor - Church of the Holy Trinity - At the bottom of the Metro: The Holy Trinity, this tape is on the middle shelf near the UV section.
• Tape 19: Turn on the Power - This tape is in the small house south of the Old Villedor Master Windmill, on the shelf with UV lights.
• Tape 38: Cpt. Posner Status Report to Col. Williams 2 - This tape can be found at the top of the GRE Tower, on top of an open container in the corner.

All Houndfield Tapes

• Tape 15: For Alice 1 - Find this tape in the building below the Cherry Windmill, on the west side of it. It'll be on the desk beside an old computer.
• Tape 16: GRE Head Doctor Dr. Kasumi Report 2 - This tape is found in the Center for Stage IV THV Study GRE Quarantine Building. It's behind the first metal door on the first floor down.
• Tape 17: Cpt. Posner Status Reports to Col. Williams 1 - This tape is in the tower east of the GRE Anomaly C-A-22. It'll be in a locked box near the sleeping bag.
• Tape 18: Journal of a Nightrunner 3 - In the northern Nightrunner's Hideout. Players can find this tape on a wooden crate at the top of the Saint Joseph Hospital.
• Tape 45: Unit 404 - Evacuation - Picked up during the side quest Wall of Valor: Deadly Exchange.
• Tape 63: For Alice 2 - Found on the top floor of the apartment building just north of the GRE Anomaly C-A-22.

All Horseshoe Tapes

• Tape 11: Cheatkins For Villedor - In the northern end of Horseshoe, it can be found on the desk on the top floor of the building with the Military Airdrop THB-17U on it.
• Tape 13 - Tourism Office of Villedor - Horseshoe - This tape can be found at the Horseshoe Water Tower in the top room of the Tourism Office on a wooden box.
• Tape 14: GRE Head Doctor Dr. Katsumi Report 1 - At the THV Genomics Center, players can find this recording behind the first metal door down into the facility.

All Downtown Tapes

• Tape 20: The City Classifieds - Sex Ed in the Time of THV - Inside the room where players restore power to the Walnut Windmill. Players can find this inside a small box in the corner.
• Tape 21: Journal of a Nightrunner 4 - This tape is above the painting in the southern Nightrunner's Hideout.
• Tape 25: Be Fruitful and Multiply - This tape is past the piano in the apartment complex, south of the Bakery settlement.
• Tape 39: GRE Head Doctor Dr. Katsumi Report 3 - Inside the GRE Vaccine Lab. This tape is in the GRE chest.
• Tape 40: The Classifieds - The Cable Guy - This tape is below the Driscoll in the Carriers Guild.
• Tape 41: For Alice 3 - In the apartment complex visited during the side quest Undying Affection. Players can find this tape on the desk on the third floor.
• Tape 51: SHTF Chef - On the building north of where the Military Airdrop THB-M30 is found. This tape is nestled by a couple of boxes.
• Tape 52: Journal of a Nightrunner 5 - This tape is above the Downtown Court Metro Station. It'll be on a table with a couple of chairs.
• Tape 53: Cpt. Posner Status Reports to Col. Williams 3 - This tape is in the utility container beside the Dark Hollow's loot source.

All New Dawn Park Tapes

• Tape 22: Frank Marwey's Journal 3 - Find this tape at the Fish Eye Canteen on the top floor, beside the blue couch.
• Tape 26: Frank Marwey's Journal 1 - In Frank's room at the Fish Eye Canteen. It'll be on the drawer near some beer bottles.
• Tape 49: Frank Marwey's Journal 4 - Just to the left of the Fish Eye Canteen, players can find this tape in the rest area. It'll be in the desk beside the piano.
• Tape 56: Frank Marwey's Journal 2 - At the top of the windmill near the Fish Eye Canteen, players can find this tape in the box with the wine bottles.

All Garrison Tapes

• Tape 23: Villedor Newscast 1 - This tape is found in the control room in the Garrison's Electrical Station. It'll be to the right of the activation marker.
• Tape 27: Tourism Office of Villedor - VNC Tower - Players can find this tape in the reception area of the VNC Tower. It'll be under the computers.
• Tape 28: Council of Mankind Session 2 - This tape is inside the GRE trailer on the roof of the VNC Tower.
• Tape 30: Lawan's Mixtape - Found during the main quest The Shoe in Lawan's old apartment.
• Tape 37: Journal of a Nightrunner 7 - On the rooftop northwest of the Teak Windmill, on top of a crate.
• Tape 54: Villedor Newscast 4 - A reward for completing the side quest Persons of Interest if assigned to the survivors. Otherwise, it can be found south of the Evacuation Convoy.
• Tape 55: Villedor Newscast 2 - Found on the top floor of the Slowa Tower. This tape will be on a computer desk.

All Lower Dam Ayre Tapes

• Tape 44: GRE Head Doctor Dr. Katsumi Report 4 - Found in the room with the GRE chest inside the THV Advanced Care Quarantine Building.
• Tape 61: Cpt. Posner Status Reports to Col. Williams 4 - Northeast of the South Loop Radio Tower, players can find this in a locked GRE chest on the rooftop.
• Tape 62: Cpt. Posner Status Reports to Col. Williams 5 - Southeast of the South Loop Metro Station, this tape is in a GRE chest between two GRE trailers on the island between the two bridges.

All The Wharf Tapes

• Tape 31: Journal of a Nightrunner 6 - Climb up the North Loop Radio Tower to reach the level with the Nightrunner's Hideout generator. The tape is on a wooden crate near the generator.
• Tape 43: GRE Head Doctor Dr. Katsumi Reports 5 - Found in the GRE Experimental Research Quarantine Building, in the same room as the GRE chest.
• Tape 46: Unit 404 - Trapped - Received during the side quest Wall of Valor: Bad Medicine.
• Tape 47: Unit 404 - The Leg Day is Today - Received during the side quest Wall of Valor: Deadly Exchange.
• Tape 48: Unit 404 - Weakest Link - Received during the side quest Wall of Valor: Missing in Action.
• Tape 57: For Alice 4 - Found in the building opposite the Fish Eye Canteen. It'll be on the wooden cabinet by the collapsed shelf.
• Tape 58: For Alice 5 - Inside the main section of the PK Floating Fortress, players can find this tape at the top of the stairs in the crew's quarters. It'll be on the table at the back.

All Muddy Grounds Tapes

• Tape 24: Tourism Office of Villedor - Villedor's Castle - This recording is at the top of the Wharf Water Tower, to the left of the activation wheel.

• Tape 42: GRE Head Doctor Dr. Katsumi Report 6 - Found in the THV-GenMod Development Center, in the room with the GRE chest.

• Tape 60: Tourism Office of Villedor - Saint Paul Cathedral - Found during the main quest Cathedral or Lost Light.

All Observatory Area Tapes

• Tape 29: Prep for the Next Fall - Just west of the Garrison. This tape is on an outer shelf of the Nightrunner's Hideout.
• Tape 50: Cpt. Posner Status Reports to Col. Williams 6 - West of the GRE Anomaly C-A-67, players can find this tape on a computer desk near a map.

All Flooded Area Tapes

• Tape 35: Journal of a Nightrunner 8 - This tape can be grabbed from some wooden crates on the Radio Tower.

All Newfound Lost Lands Tapes

• Tape 36: Council of Mankind Session 1 - On the rooftops where the GRE Anomaly C-A-56 is, players can find this tape in the trailer on the western roof.

• Tape 32: Waltz's Chamber Recording 3 - Found in Waltz's room during the main quest Now or Never.
• Tape 33: Waltz's Chamber Recording 1 - Found in Waltz's research lab on a desk during the main quest Now or Never.
• Tape 34: Waltz's Chamber Recording 2 - Found on the bedside table during the main quest Now or Never.
