What is Salt in Eastward?

Getting salty is bad!

There are a couple of different currencies in Eastward. One of these is salt. For the most part, salt is the primary currency you will use to purchase items throughout the game. Some items cannot be purchased with salt or require another currency in addition to salt.

There are a couple of ways to get salt. You can find salt in treasure chests scattered throughout the world of Eastward. Enemies will occasionally drop salt as well once you defeat them. Just make sure to pick it up when they do. You can also grind enemies that reappear for lots of salt.

You will want to make sure you explore each area thoroughly to get as much salt as you can find. Without it, you won't be able to upgrade your gear or purchase healing items. There are many shops throughout Eastward, so you will have plenty of opportunities to spend it. How you choose to spend it will be up to you.

Salt cannot be used for cooking, contrary to what you may think. This means that you can only use salt to purchase items and gear. It also means you don't have to worry about splitting your money between your wallet and your belly!
