Like other Soulsborne games before it, Elden Ring offers a wide variety of unique weapons for players to use. With so many classes and equipment types, breaking down the list of items up for grabs can be overwhelming. Make sure you know what weapon is suitable for you before heading out into The Lands Between.

CrossbowsRanged weapons that fire Bolts at enemies. Crossbows are more potent than bows but need more time for reloads. Require ammunition for use.
Curved GreatswordsLarge weapons that use slash attacks against enemies. Capable of significant damage at the cost of player mobility.
Curved SwordsNormal-sized melee weapons that use slash attacks. Weaker than Curved Greatswords but capable of faster attacks and afford more mobility.
DaggersVery short blades with poor range but the blistering speed and high Critical Damage aid in Backstabs and Parries.
FistsShort-ranged weapons that fire off quick strikes when close to enemies.
FlailsWeapons with a long-range melee strike. Use powerful single strikes against foes but are relatively slow.
Glintstone StavesWeapons that are necessary for casting Sorceries and Magic Spells.
GreataxesWeapons that excel at dealing damage and breaking enemy guards. These weapons are notoriously slow, so striking may leave players open to attacks.
GreatbowsA more powerful variant of Bows in Elden Ring. This ranged weapon requires Arrows for use.
Great SpearsPowerful weapons that allow players to use melee strikes from a substantial range. Costs players attack speed and mobility for use.
GreatswordsSlow but strong weapons that are exceptional at doling out significant damage. Slow attack speed and reduced mobility make users vulnerable to injury from enemies.
HalberdsMid-range melee weapons with average damage output. Capable of thrusting and swinging attacks.
HammersStrong weapons that deal increased damage against enemies at the cost of speed. Incredibly effective against armored enemies and shields.
Heavy Thrusting SwordsDaunting weapons that use Piercing attacks against foes and excel at counters and follow-up strikes. Increased power due to weight.
KatanasMid-range melee weapons that focus on thrust and slash attacks in Elden Ring. They can also inflict Hemorrhage.
Light BowsA weaker variant of Bows in Elden Ring. Fire faster than other Bow types but deal minor damage. Requires Arrows for use.
ReapersLarge weapons that have a long reach and use sweeping attacks to damage foes.
Sacred SealsUsed to cast Incantations in Elden Ring.
SpearsMid-range melee weapons that allow users to strike out of many enemys' attack range. Great weapons to use when riding on Horseback.
Straight SwordsBalanced weapons that use slash and thrust attacks. One of the most basic weapon types and very simple to use.
Thrusting SwordsWell-balanced swords with adequate reach and fast attacks capable of piercing and slashing attacks.
TorchesWeaker weapons used to ward off beasts and inflict Fire Damage.
TwinbladesTwo-handed weapons that use spinning slash attacks on enemies and dole out multiple hits on several enemies at once. It can also be used one-handed and is challenging to use.
WarhammersWeapons known for slow and heavy attacks that dish out significant damage against enemies. It can also destroy shields. Requires substantial Strength to use.
WhipsWeaker weapons that have a long reach. Very ineffective on armored enemies.
