How to cheese the Godskin Noble boss in Elden Ring

Shred this boss with ease.

Elden Ring offers players many different ways to approach boss encounters during a playthrough. Struggling with a boss often means that players might need to take a different approach. No matter how exploitative the victory feels, a win is assured to those willing to take a different approach, especially with stricter bosses like the Godskin Noble.

What does Cheesing mean?

Cheesing a boss means exploiting a feature or weakness to make the fight seem trivial, and Cheesing often circumvents a fight's intended strategy.

Cheesing the Godskin Noble

The Godskin Noble has a weakness to Scarlet Rot and Bleed, and weapons and attacks with these natures will decimate its health. If you have any Scarlet Rot or Bleed damage weapons, make sure to equip them, though they aren't necessary for this method.

What you will need for this strategy is the Rotten Stray Ashes summon. You can find the Rotten Stray Ashes in Caelid's Swamp of Aeonia. Head to the northwest of the Sellia Under-Stair Touch of Grace to find this summon on a body hidden behind a dilapidated brick wall. We've listed a map location below. Upgrading Spirit Ashes increases the damage they deal and will ultimately make this strategy easier, but it isn't entirely necessary.

Once you have the Rotten Stray Ashes, head to the Godskin Noble arena. Ring your bell to summon the Rotten Stray as soon as you enter the room. Grab the Godskin Noble's attention and draw him away from the Rotten Stray. Give a few poke attacks and give your minion time to inflict Scarlet Rot with a few strikes. If you have Bleed weapons, attack until the first Bleed effect kicks in to inflict blood loss and take a significant chunk of its health.

Once the Godskin Noble has Scarlet Rot, all you need to do to win is wait for the boss to die. The Godskin Noble will take damage intermittently for the duration of the fight, but he does deal substantial damage with his attacks.

Utilize your sprint and dodge roll to avoid taking damage while healing when necessary. The tick damage from Scarlet Rot will eventually drain his health completely.
