In Elden Ring, players will come across several NPCs with prolonged questlines divided into several stages. The Jar-Bairn NPC has a long questline in the game, and players will have to complete all the stages to earn the rewards. The Jar-Bairn questline revolves around Alexander Iron Fist and Diallos, so eventually, players will have to find them.
Where to find Jar-Bairn?
Jar-Bairn is located at a hut near Jarburg Site of Grace. This NPC was added in a recent update, and Jarburg is situated under the Liurnia Tower Bridge. You can reach it from the mountain behind Carian Study Hall. The mountain cliff behind Carian Study Hall has steps carved, and players can jump on these steps to descend below towards the Jarburg. You will find Jar-Bairn sitting in front of a hut just north of the Jarburg Site of Grace.
Interact with the NPC to start the quest, and for the first stage, players will have to agree to become a potentate. Jar-Bairn will quickly check players’ hands and say that they are too rough to be the potentate. Rest at a Site of Grace and return to the NPC, and he will ask you to pick flowers nearby from the village. Collect flowers from Jarburg before resting at a Site of Grace and return to Jar Bairn again. After this, Jar-Bairn will ask players will have to locate Diallos.

Players will first meet Diallos at the Roundtable Hold and later at Volcano Manor. Exhaust his dialogue options at Volcano Manor, and Diallos will eventually move to Jarburg as a protector of the Jars. Players will find him inside a small hut at the northeastern corner of Jarburg. Speak with him to exhaust his dialogues, and rest at a Site of Grace until Nightfall. Players should note that attacking any of the Jars will make Diallos an enemy, and he will become hostile.
You will find Diallos dying after a valiant effort to protect the village, speak to him, and reset the area to find Jar-Bairn sitting near Diallos' dead body. Interact with Jar-Bairn and rest at a Site of Grace. Return to Jar-Bairn near the hut, and he will inform you about becoming a warrior to protect everyone.
How to get Alexander’s Innards?
The final step of this questline requires players to give Alexander's Innards to Jar-Bairn, and you can acquire this item by defeating Alexander Iron Fist at Crumbling Farum Azula. Players should note that they will have to complete Alexander's questline, allowing this NPC to move to other locations. After giving this item to Jar-Bairn, rest at a Site of Grace, and return to this area to find the Companion Jar Talisman. This item gives players a 20% damage increase while throwing pots!
