The Demigods are the spawn of Queen Marika the Eternal, the ruler of the Lands Between. Not only are the Demigods descendants of royalty, but they each harbor shards of the Elden Ring known as Great Runes. The power the Demigods got from the Great Runes corrupted them, leading them to start a war known as The Shattering.
