Finding items for quests is a tedious endeavor that we all must do to progress in Escape From Tarkov. One such item I struggled to find in-raid is a Machinery Key. Players need the Machinery Key to complete the quest Checking, so here's everything you need to know on where to find a Machinery Key in Tarkov. 

Where to find a Machinery Key in Escape From Tarkov

To find a Machinery Key in Escape From Tarkov, search room 205 on the second floor of the Dorms V-EX building on Customs. Inside room 205, you can find the Machinery Key inside a brown jacket (see image below).

How to use the Machinery Key in Escape From Tarkov

Players can use the Machinery Key in Escape From Tarkov to open a locked truck door. Inside the truck is a Bronze Pocket Watch players need to complete the quest Checking. You can find the Bronze Pocket Watch sitting inside the truck marked below both in-game and on map:

Once you get the Bronze Pocket Watch, we recommend to find the nearest extract as soon as possible. In short, you must extract with the Bronze Pocket Watch alive for the quest to be marked complete.
