The highly anticipated expansion for Final Fantasy XIV, called Endwalker, has been delayed. The announcement comes by way of the Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker Launch Trailer, which lists the new launch date at the end. The expansion was originally going to hit early access on November 19, with the full release starting on November 23. Now, the expansion will release two weeks later, with early access happening on December 3, and the full release starting on December 7.
The decision was last-minute and it is to give the QA team more time to make sure the expansion is of good quality (via Final Fantasy XIV Letter from the Producer LIVE Part LXVII). Though two weeks doesn't feel like a lot of time, the dev team for Final Fantasy XIV assures fans that the QA team will have enough time. The team wants to make sure that the storylines and plots that have been in development since the game's initial launch are being properly told in Endwalker.

The live stream also shared the new launch trailer for Endwalker, as well as new release schedules for 6.05. Following Endwalker's December 7 launch, the Pandæmonium raid for the expansion release on December 21. The New Allagan Tomestones and new gear will also release on January 4, 2022.
