Final Fantasy XIV's Endwalker update is finally out for players to experience, and the excitement has brought fans back in droves to play the MMORPG's new content. The influx of players, new and old, is sure to test the server capacity, and players are likely to experience issues like the Lobby Server Connection Error. Here's how to get past this problem.
To fix Final Fantasy XIV's Lobby Server Connection Error (also known as Error 2002,) try the following methods:
- Restart your game client and relaunch the game after logging in again.
- Reset your internet connection.
- Load into a different data center, then return to your preferred data center and world before attempting to log in.
- Wait for a minute or two before trying to log into the server again should problems continue to arise.
- After waiting for a bit, try to log in again. Eventually the game should allow you to play once the server stress alleviates.
Because of the added stress on Final Fantasy XIV servers due to Endwalker's release, issues similar to the Lobby Server Connection Error will assuredly appear in Final Fantasy XIV during the launch period of this new expansion. Square Enix has asked players for patience during the launch window, as they expect these problems to persist, though they are consistently working on fixes.
