What are bicolor gemstones in Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker?

Bicolor Gemstones are a currency that is earned by completing FATEs in either Endwalker or Shadowbringers zones. Upon completing a FATE, you are rewarded several Bicolor Gemstones. This varies depending on the zone and the level of completion. A gold completion of a FATE in an Endwalker zone will currently award 14 Bicolor Gemstones.

Players can trade them to Gemstone Traders in Shadowbringers and Endwalker areas. The items they sell are unique to each area. However, Bicolor Gemstones are intertradable, so you can trade Gemstones earned in any zone in any other zone. You can even earn Gemstones in Shadowbringers areas and spend them in Endwalker zones. The same is true of the opposite.

The Completing FATEs in any Shadowbringers or Endwalker areas will also earn progress in the Shared FATE rankings for each area. As you level up these rankings, you’ll be able to purchase a wider variety of items from Gemstone Traders, including rare items and materials, and eventually riding maps and other useful tools. To view your Shared FATE ranking, navigate to the Travel section of your menu, and select Shared FATE.

As a result, Bicolor Gemstones are one of the best currencies you can earn in Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker, and you should complete FATEs at any opportunity!
