Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes is set within the same universe as Fire Emblem: Three Houses and pulls many characters from the original game. This includes playable characters as well as NPCs. One NPC character you may be wondering about is Holst and whether he is in the game and who he is in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes.
In Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes and Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Holst is the older brother of Hilda and heir to House Goneril. He is never actually seen or met in Fire Emblem: Three Houses but is known for his military reputation. He is, however, supposedly seen in the Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes - Mysterious Mercenary trailer around the two-minute-and-thrity-second mark.

This fits as Holst due to being shown directly after Hilda and having similar pink hair. He also appears to be wearing a cloak with the symbol of House Goneril on it. If this is indeed Holst, it would mean that he favors a sword in combat, unlike his sister, who uses an axe. Holst is also rumored to bear a Crest.
Holst was a mystery in Fire Emblem: Three Houses and one that fans wanted to see. Adding him to Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes is a nice way to answer fans' questions and give them a better look at the myth that is Holst.
