One milestone for Chapter 2 Season 6 of Fortnite is to harvest resources like Wood, Stone, and Metal. These may seem like straightforward tasks, but the grind can be quite time consuming if you don't know where to look. In this guide, we will cover the best places to find all three types of resources.
Best Places to Collect Wood, Stone, and Metal
Collecting resources isn't exclusive to the Milestones, either. Sometimes the common and uncommon requests require you to harvest a specific amount of them, and sometimes you simply need building resources as fast as possible.
Our map below provides you some of the best locations to harvest each kind of resource. We've highlighted the best areas in different colors. Blue highlighted areas are the best places for Wood, yellow highlighted areas are the best places for Stone, and pink highlighted areas are the best places for Metal. When you're done looking at the map, be sure to continue reading to get a better idea of why we chose these places.
Resources are all over the map. The only difficulty in collecting them is trying to figure out how to collect most resources you can in the shortest amounts of time. You can use the map above and text below to see which areas are best for your play style.

Wood
It's hard to define a good area to harvest wood because trees are literally everywhere on the map. Collecting 999 Wood never takes over four or five minutes if you're putting in the effort. Still, we found the best places to max out your efficiency in collecting it.
If you're on the northwestern section of the map, you'll want to head to The Orchard. The trees here are small, but there are many of them lined up in a row and bunched close together. We managed get 999 Wood in less than two minutes by running from tree to tree. The trees also provide good coverage while you're collecting Wood. That is until you chop them down, at least.
Weeping Woods is an excellent place to collect Wood quickly. With all the coverage from the large trees, Weeping Woods is usually a good, safe place to harvest. The only reason we don't necessarily consider it the best place to collect Wood is because the trees are far apart.
The best location to collect Wood quickly is Durrr Burger. There is one specific section of this location that makes it the best. If you look on the southeastern corner of the complex, you will see dozens of stacks of wooden planks. These can all be harvested quickly and efficiently because they're so close together. If you go straight through them, you can max out on Wood in just over a minute.
Stone
Between Apollo Island and Primal Pond are some statues and large rocks. It's highlighted yellow on the map above. We heard a rumor that you can max out your Stone resources in less than two minutes here, and we tested it out. It's true! If you land here and immediately start harvesting stone, you can collect 999 Stone in less than two minutes. Just be sure to hit the Weak Points!
Other than the area mentioned above, there is only one other area that we like to drop to collect Stone: Coral Castle. There are many stones, shells, and structures bunched together to use as sources for Stone.
Metal
The unfortunate thing about metal is that it's hard to max out quickly. There are two great options to collect it, though. The first one is Dirty Docks. As you can see on the map above, there is a section of Dirty Docks that houses dozens of truck trailers. These may not provide an enormous amount of metal, but there are a lot of them close together. Two players could spend about three to four minutes in this section and complete max out their Metal.

It's debatable on whether it's better, but the other location is Compact Cars. At Compact Cars, it's harder to max out your metal resource. It's a great way to collect Metal fast and in a short amount of time, but it caps out at about 600-700 Metal. Still, what makes Compact Cars great is that if you clear out the entire area, you'll get all that metal and about 15-20 Mechanical Parts. This is enough to upgrade weapons for an entire squad!
If you're in a bind, you can also use Camp Cod or Hydro 16 to harvest metal. In both of these locations, a lot of the material inside and outside is made of Metal. You can collect a full load of Metal in about four to five minutes in both of these locations. It's not fast, but it's better than most other locations.
That's it for the list so far! If you have any hidden spots for mass collection that you're willing to share, drop us a comment below! If we test it out and find it's a good one, we'll add your suggestion to the list.
